Ah, actually this had a follow-up with the Patchouli dead with a bite from the mushroom. But it looked more like a slapstick comedy, so I disregarded it.

ACtually, the tags and the big, stupid grin on Patchy's face in the followup (though yukkuris almost always have big old grins) implied that Patchy was just tripping.

I'm sure that she would know whether a mushroom was genuinely deadly or not, she is the sage of the forest.

Now that I think of it, "imminent danger" seems to be a better word.
